All I have is an old, battered, ugly patterned futon. Though it does have nice cherry supports that my brother and I colored on when we were younger.

Wow I wish I could color like that, what kinds of markers do you use and such? I have not the ability to color on a computer and the only markers I got are sharpe which totally suck and get you high the more you use them x.x

Ooooo nononoooo, sharpies are from writing on postage and Tupperware! X'S

Letraset Tria are my personal favorite, they just have the best range and 3-types of nibs~ the colour just comes out of them real smooth and they layer-up nicer~~
Prisma Markers ((not out of make, but sometimes stock is kicking around in alot of bigger art-stores/online)) are good too, and Copics aren't too bad ((but preferred last outta the three.))

My suggestion would be to find some of the old Tria-markers ((a now discontinued make of the newer version)) as they are usually still kicking around and DIRT-cheap these days, and get a pastle or 'lights' range where you can to start off with :'3

Quite pricy, too much for poor me the starving artist type. But I appreciate this information I must say it does come in very useful to me. You have my thanks.

Either way I do appreciate the information, so now I must gain hold of prisma colors since thats probably the best and easiest thing for me to find at the moment. Then I must learn how to color with markers if it is like oil paints and in layers or if there are other tricks

not alot like oil-paints really ^^-; more like a real-life 'multiply' layer :'3 darker colours can go over, lighter colours on top will make the pigment wash-out and become suer grainy though~ but after a few practice runs, you'll get it~! ^^-;

Yeah need to figure it out and get some markers, colored pencils aren't going to cut it the way that I want and I can paint better then draw so with markers Im hoping it should help out some when it comes to some of my works.

He looks comfertable and so peaceful.
All thats needed is some patches of brown and purple and Carni there would have a good camoflage spot. That would be one trippy futon too.

Anyhow, you did an excellent job.

oh yes I do! ^^-; markers are better for 'filling the space' but penciling & gelpen ((almost paint-like in a pen-format)) are still very important keys-steps~!
