Critiques
First of all, the character placement. Both characters are in positions that tell a story to those into the psychology of body language and even the facial expression!
Second, the color. The choice of shade and texture is so clear and complementary to the actual piece, that it gives vibrant eye catching affects that reel in the n00bs like fish to da slaughter!
THIRD!! The sheer poetry! The sight of the instrument, and the sight of the sharp nailed fingers instantly snaps a sound of music, a tactile feel of strings being plucked, and even the serpant's coiling around suggests something warm and safe that relaxes the body, and just like the snake, the mammal takes advantage of that charm, dominating your intrigue with what kind of sounds and words he must be saying...it's just beautiful.
All and all: This is the creme de la creme of what it means to master both beauty of vision, and of the soul. 3D graphis these days, they mostly look beautiful and epic...but they're just pictures, they don't give a yearning to jump into their worlds and live inside it. And to me, that's a shame because so many artists deserve their worlds to be filled with the hearts and minds of their fans. And that is why this piece is marvelous, and why it means so much to both me, and those who agree with my words. So with that, I end this review with quoting: "If music be the food of the soul, play on."
Allthough red and blue usually create a great contrast in an image, it is hardly noticeable in this image because of the smooth edges and multiple gradient color use on everything in the image (the colors on the different spots isnt static in other word
This artwork tells me alot of diffrent things on the imaginative level. Other than the fact that the artist is quite skilled in drawing fantasy creature (which also understates that she is quite creative
On a more detaild level i think this artwork illustrates how good she is at drawing details and at the same time dont get lost in details where the wholeness of the image dosnt seem symetric/harmonic anymore.
An example is the sweat/slime drops on the blue (cobra)snake and the hair the tamburine player.
If the sweat drops wasnt there i would probably wonder if it is just pillows around him, and to much details would probably confuse me even more.
The color and shape of the head and tail hair gives the character more personality and helps distinguish it from other things in the background (plus it does look REALLY cool ^^)
To summarize, i think the artist show of some magnifizent creativity/vision and orginality in the artwork. Although i think the technique that she use is more than approved, iv seen her drawing style devloped quite much looking at her previouse art creations (some say there is no such thing as a perfect image/technuiqe)
Although the artwork didnt make a deep impact on me (probably become too used to seeing diffrent artworks on diviant art
