52- Meowth

Though the artist states that this piece is heavily inspired by another artist's design, their own style shines through brilliantly. "52-Meowth" depicts a sleepy and somewhat darkly-colored Meowth glancing off to the side. The dark coloration and the green eyes make this piece really stand out, and the soft shading and points give it a very relaxed feel. Meowth seems almost liquid, its features heavy and its koban seeming to melt into its forehead while its whiskers and ears droop. Every little detail is captured in a way that flows and blends, from the paw pads and claws to the single fang. The light background also compliments the figure, ebbing and flowing into the picture as a wave of colors and swirls. This is a wonderful piece by a wonderful artist, and we look forward to seeing more of this artist's works.
